摘要: 伴随着2007年以来商务英语本科和研究生专业的获批,商务英语教学模式理论与实践研究变得日益紧迫和重要。本文认为,从理论脉络上分析,商务英语作为ESP的一个分支,经历了六个基本发展阶段,目前在中国已经发展成为一个独立的交叉学科,而当前阶段商务英语关注的重点在于商务英语独立学科体系与相关教学模式的发展和完善。与普通英语教学模式相比,商务英语在培养目标、课程设置、教材建设、教学方法和评估机制等方面存在区别性特色。广东外语外贸大学的商务英语教学模式实证分析表明:商务英语教学与管理模式认可度较高,商务英语学生外语素质较高,商务英语毕业生就业前景较好。这些结论表明,商务英语教学模式特色鲜明,发展前景广阔,应该大力发展。
With the approval of Business English disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, researches on the theory and practice of Business English teaching mode have become very urgent and important. This paper concludes that theoretically, Business English, as a subbranch of ESP, has evolved through six stages into an independent crossdiscipline in China within the past decades, with the current research focuses on the development of its disciplinary system and teaching mode. Compared with general English teaching mode, it may possess some outstanding features in cultivation objective, curriculum design, teaching method and assessment mechanism, etc. The empirical case study of GDUFS' related teaching practices shows that the teaching and management mode of Business English has got high recognition, students of Business English major demonstrate a higher level of English proficiency than general English majors, and graduates of Business English major have more promising job prospects.
