摘要: 本文从社会发展对翻译的需求以及翻译人才供求矛盾的分析入手,说明目前国内局限于外语专业的翻译教学无法满足社会发展对翻译人才在数量和质量,以及多样化、多层次的需求。从长远发展战略来看,有必要、也有可能构建一个系统化、多元化、务实、高效的翻译教育与培训体系。该体系的基本思路是将翻译教育与培训的范围从普通高等教育延伸到继续教育(含岗位培训),将翻译教育和培训的对象从外语专业扩展到非外语专业,并设定从培养基本翻译能力到职业化翻译能力,从普通翻译人员到高、精、尖翻译人才等不同阶段、不同层次的教育与培训目标,以满足翻译学科建设、翻译行业和个人职业发展等多种类、多层次的需求。
The paper, based on an in-depth analysis of the present and future demand for translation professionals, argues that it is both necessary and feasible to build a framework of diversified and efficient translation education and training in China. The proposed framework is intended to facilitate the growth of translation professionals of different profiles, and the development of a hierarchy of translation competence for both English and non-English professionals, and is desired to cater to the development of translation as an academic discipline, as a service sector and as a professional career respectively.
