摘要: 阅读是英语学习者扩大词汇量、语言输入的重要手段。在英语阅读学习中,最终起决定作用的还是学习者本人。然而,在教学模式转入到以学生为中心、听说领先的过程中,学生缺乏阅读动机和兴趣,对于自主阅读的方法和理论缺乏了解和运用。本文介绍了学习语言动机和自主学习理论,阐述了学习态度、信念与自主阅读的关系,并就如何在阅读课上有效激发学生阅读动机、培养学生自主阅读能力进行了探讨。
Reading plays a very important role in enlarging students vocabulary and language input. Without making efforts in reading, students cant become successful English learners. With the focus of teaching shifted from teachcentered to studentcentered with listening and speaking given priority, college teachers find that college students are not greatly motivated in English reading. Meanwhile, students have not been able to realize reading autonomy so far because they lack appropriate skills in reading. The aim of this paper is to introduce some theories concerning learning motivation and learning autonomy, show how learning attitude and belief affect reading autonomy and discuss some effective ways we can use to increase students motivation in their reading.
