摘要: 近年来很多学校的口译教学突出技能训练。笔者认为高等院校的口译课应该坚持它的教育宗旨,而不是越来越走向职业化。笔者通过对比发现,AIIC对专业口译人员素质的要求和教育部“英语教学大纲”中对外语人才标准的界定有相当程度的吻合,因而认为通过口译训练来实现对学生综合素质的培养是可行的。教学中以AIIC对口译人员素质的要求来培养学生将促进学生的全面发展,从而达到更高的教育目标。本文介绍This paper examines the beliefs and practice of oral interpreting training at the School of English and International Studies of BFSU in China. In an increasingly technique-oriented society, many oral interpreting programs have mushroomed and are being reduced to skill-training programs to meet market demand. However, the author points out that oral interpreting programs in universities should maintain its basic educational orientation in spite of its growing tendency for vocational training. A comparative study of the AIIC standards for professional interpreters and those for successful English users set by Ministry of Education of China, has revealed that they share a lot in common. The author argues that whole-person education can be achieved through an oral interpreting course designed within the framework of the AIIC standards for professional interpreters. Classroom activities have been introduced to show efforts made for this purpose by the School of English and International Studies of BFSU. 了北外英语学院为实现这一目标,通过口译教学实践活动所进行的尝试。
